After a decade-long stint in the game industry, where he worked on such games as Metal Fatigue and Aliens vs. Predator: Extinction, Jason decided to leave for more stable employment as a Product Manager within a Fortune 500 company.
Feel free to yawn now.
Stable, but lacking any creative outlet, he decided to give writing a try. A hobby, he told himself. In the last four years, he's written two novels, four screenplays, and this biography. Hooked, you might say!
In late 2010, Jason felt good enough about one of the novels to look for an agent. He fully expected the mythical, inevitable process of months or years of rejections, ultimately ending with him facedown in an alley in Brussels. To his surprise, and extreme delight, his first choice for an agent, Sara Megibow, saved him from this.
Jason is now enjoying the deadline-free life of an unpublished writer. Fingers-crossed, there will be news here soon about his first book. As of July 2011, he's delivered the full manuscript to Sara for a final review. They plan to start submitting the book in September.
He lives in San Diego. In twelve years of marriage, he and his wife have never had a fight. Their first son was born in November of 2009. Another son cometh, in October 2011.
Jason would also like it to be known that Jason finds it very odd to write about himself in third person. He's weird like that.
